Equestrian Holli B combines her love of horses and her faith to design unrivaled pieces that include pendant crosses, spurs and rowels, along with earrings and much more.

“The horseshoe nails used to form the crosses remind me that we all need strength and faith to help hold things together in life.” As Holli explains, “The bonds we form in our relationships with family and friends are tested many times throughout our lives. Our faith provides us the inner strength needed to continue those bonds. Horseshoe nails are a basic necessity of the equestrian world, but everyone takes them for granted until they need them – like our faith, we only look for it when we need it.”

In the Company’s three lines – Faith, Family, and Western – Holli has created striking pieces of jewelry. Her unique spur creation features a working rowel which can be customized with the buyer’s choice of precious or semi-precious gemstones. Her distinctive crosses, while simple, convey the strength of the horseshoe nails that form them.

For Holli, Western culture is a way of life. She is a third generation horsewoman whose father is a veterinarian, and whose grandfather was a cattle order buyer. Both men were members of the Rodeo Cowboys Association. Though Holli was born in Alabama (while her father attended Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine) she arrived in Texas at age 2. “I got here as fast as I could,” she jokes.

Holli and her kids continue the family tradition with their passion for riding and raising horses. Her daughter’s been riding since she was 15 months old and has participated in several competitive shows, and her son also loves to ride. Holli and her family own several Quarters, Paints and Mules with a Palomino Quarter colt being the latest addition to the stable.

Holli currently serves on a committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and she has been a member for five years. She has two family members on their way to lifetime memberships on other committees as well.

Holli’s participation in other interests, such as theatre, music and art, eventually led to another creative outlet: designing jewelry. While traveling in ’97, Holli bought a loose gemstone. Discouraged by ready-made jewelry settings, she turned to a friend’s father (a wholesale jeweler) for help. The friend’s father helped her design an original ring for the gemstone; he then built the ring for her.

Holli continued buying gemstones and working with the jeweler to bring her designs to life. Enjoying the work, she proposed her idea for starting a business. She described her concept of using horseshoe nails and spurs as the inspiration for her jewelry designs, and that’s when 2B was born.

Each of 2B’s designs is handcrafted and an incomparable work of art to be worn, treasured and passed down for generations to come, reminding us all that “strength and faith” will see us through.
